Membership Meeting

Commander Gary Gladue conducted opening ceremonies and declared the Post 146 monthly meeting regularly convened at 17:36

Roll call was taken, quorum was met.

The Charter was draped in memory of Donald F. Hass.

The April Minutes were approved as printed.

Commander Gladue gave the Executive Report: No Motions

Greg Furmanski gave the Finance Report. Jan volunteered for the finance committee.

Kurt Lepinski gave the Membership Report: We have 377 of a goal of 376 for a 100.27 % of goal.

Rick Baldwin gave the Legion Riders report: getting ready for Blessing of the Bikes 14 June,

Gary Scholtz gave the House Committee report: New air conditioner is running.

Steve Van Eyck gave the SAL report.

Julie Erickson gave the Auxiliary report: membership is 103.44% of goal. Taco Tuesday is going well. Poppy days are May 22, 23, and 24. Getting ready for District convention June 21st.

Deborah Knernschield gave the Service Officer report: Veterans Resource fair Wednesday, May 14th from 12:00 to 3:00 pm

Commander Gladue gave the Activities report: May 26 – Memorial Day Breakfast, the Parade, and the service at Veterans Park. There will be another service at Riverside Cemetery. The Kids Derby May 31st at the pond off 38th Ave. June 7th Kids Derby at the Marina, June 14th Blessing of the Bikes, June 21st UP Convention at Post, July 4th Fireworks, July 8th Red Cross Blood Drive at the post, July 12th is a Pig Roast sponsored by Freedom for Patriots outside. Brown Trout Derby July 26th, M&M Car club 16th of August. Suicide Prevention 21st of September.

Unfinished Business: Discussed Snack Shack Electrical and Waitress station.

New Business: Discussed the U.P. Summer Convention. The election results were presented: Commander Gary Gladue, 1st Vice Tom Englund, 2nd Vice Richard McCullough, 3rd Vice Richard Baldwin, Sergeant-at-Arms James Kolky, Chaplin Michael Cutaiar, Judge Advocate Kim Coggins, Service Officer Deborah Knernschield, Members At Large: James Berry, Brian Chernetski, Walter Durow, Carl Granquist, Jean Stegeman. The new officers will be installed at the June Membership Meeting and take office 1 July 2025. A motion was made “to retain ballots for one year.” The motion was adopted. Jan Lepinski moved “to destroy ballots from previous years.” The motion was adopted.
