Membership Meeting
June 9, 2025
Commander Gary Gladue conducted opening ceremonies and declared the Post 146 monthly meeting regularly convened at 17:32.
Roll call was taken, quorum was met.

The May Minutes were approved as corrected.
Commander Gladue gave the Executive Committee Report: New officers will be sworn in on July 14. There will be no 16:30 Executive Committee meeting in July. Purchase of a new dishwasher was approved for $2200 plus installation expenses.
Greg Furmanski gave the Finance Report. John Nutter presented a check for $2000 from the Pull-Tab account. Discussion ensued on CD interest rates. Gary Scholtz moved “to accept the finance report second to audit.” The motion was adopted.
Kurt Lepinski gave the Membership Report: 386 of 376 goal. 102.66% of goal.
Commander gave the Activities Report: June 14th-Blessing of the Bikes, June 21st-UP Convention at the Post, June 25th-Pot Luck, July 4th Fireworks, July 8th Red Cross Blood Drive at the post, July 12th is a Pig Roast sponsored by Freedom for Patriots outside, July 16th-Menominee City Family Night, July 26th & 27th-Brown Trout Derby, August 16th-M&M Car club, September 21st-Suicide Prevention.
Steve Van Eyck gave the SAL Report: Attended Veterans Resource Fair, Put Flags out at cemetery on May 22, worked the Memorial Day breakfast at the Post, participated in the parade, June 7 helped with fishing derby, June 21st UP Convention, donated $1000 to the Legion for the air conditioner. New Officers: Commander Steve Van Eyck, 1st Vice Jeffrey Schick, 2nd Vice Skip Williams, Adjutant Steven Fifarek, Chaplin David Boucher, Sergeant-at-Arms David Obert.
Mike Cutaiar gave the Bar Report: No financial report because of computer failure.
Julie Erickson gave the Auxiliary Report: No Taco Tuesday June 10th or July 8th. Membership is almost 105%, helped with the Veterans Resource Fair. Poppy Days was very successful.
Deborah Knernschield gave the Service Officer Report: working on an information session on Veterans who are enrolled in Medicare and using VA health care.
Rick Baldwin gave the Legion Riders Report.
Wally Durow gave the Athletics Report: almost 300 Menominee Youth were supported by our donation to the Youth Baseball and Softball programs.
Unfinished Business: Budget Discussion. Jan Lepinski moved “to add a line item of $200 for District Dues”. Jean Stegeman Seconded. The motion was adopted. Wally Durow moved “to add three Line Items to support the Baseball Program in Menominee, $500 for Girl’s Softball, $500 for Boys High School Baseball, and $500 for Menominee Youth Baseball.” The motion was adopted. Jan Lepinski moved “to approve the budget as modified.” The motion was adopted.
New Business: Tom Englund won the Pot.
