American Legion Post 0146 Membership Meeting September 8, 2025
Commander Gary Gladue conducted opening ceremonies and declared the Post 146 monthly meeting regularly convened at 17:32
Roll call was taken, quorum was met.
The August Minutes were approved as printed.
Commander Gladue gave the Executive Committee Report: Motions were approved to have Dennis Chaltry check our building for Health & Safety issues; to reimburse Gary Gladue for the LARA fee and a roll of metal foil tape to repair the air conditioning duct; to obtain a post credit card. There will be a party for volunteers in October paid for with tip money. Mike Cutaiar moved “to accept the Executive Committee Report.” The motion was approved.
Commander Gladue gave the Finance Report. Wally Durow moved “to accept the finance report.” The motion was adopted.
Tom Englund gave the Activities Report: walk for life September 21, Taco Tuesday tomorrow plus pulled pork. There will be a party for the volunteers in early October.
Wally Durow gave the Athletics report: this is the off-season. Will contact the teams we support after 1 January.
Mike Cutaiar gave the Bar Report and presented a check for $3000.00 to the post. Commander Gladue asked for volunteers for the Club Committee.
Commander Gladue gave the House Committee Report.
Julie Erickson gave the Auxiliary report. Tomorrow is Taco Tuesday plus pulled pork sandwiches. Next meeting is September 16th. We are sponsoring hometown hero banners which will be displayed mid-June until the Christmas decorations go up. The cost is $80.
Steve Van Eyck gave the SAL report. Enjoyed working at the State Fair, the SAL-oween party will be on Oct 25th, we will be assisting Suicide Prevention event 21 SEP, will be hosting the Army-Navy game.
Kurt Lepinski gave the Membership Report: We ended last year with 387 members and we have 230 paid members for 2026. The membership goals for 2026 have not been published yet.

Unfinished Business: Richard McCullough is close to starting on the waitress station installation.
New Business: James Kolky moved “to pass out Halloween candy as a Legion Family.” The motion was adopted. Discussion about drink specials. Blood drive Wednesday 9:15 – 13:00. Joe Marak won the drawing.
