American Legion Post 0146
Membership Meeting
November 10, 2025
Commander Gary Gladue conducted opening ceremonies and declared the Post 146 monthly meeting regularly convened at 17:35.
Roll call was taken, quorum was met.
The October Minutes were approved as printed.
Commander Gladue gave the Executive Report. There was a motion to allow the Commander to renew the two CDs maturing this month at whichever bank has the best rate. A motion was made to hold back $2000 in the Raffle account and transfer the rest to the projects account. It was recommended that the Club Manager be given access to the Facebook page to post bar/legion events. There was a discussion about the waitress station-final installation scheduled for January 2026. The cabinet is being custom made for $3100 and $200 for the sink. Other plumbing work is involved.
Commander Gladue gave the Finance Report. Carl Granquist moved “to accept the finance report, subject to audit.” The motion was adopted.
Jan Lepinski gave the Membership Numbers: 67.01% of goal.
Tom Englund gave the Activities Report. Veterans Breakfast tomorrow with the culinary class helping, November 19th Veteran Potluck (open to all Veterans), December 6th Children’s Christmas Party first, Scott Young in the Afternoon following the Party, December 13th Wreaths Across America in the morning, Army Navy Football game 14:00. January starts Smear tournaments on Saturday and soup on Wednesday. The volunteer dinner came in under budget.
Julie Erickson the Auxiliary Report: Today (November 10, 2025) is the Auxiliary’s 106th birthday. Membership as of Nov 5 was 205 with a goal of 277, 74.01%. Continuing with hometown heroes project, Wreaths Across America Dec 13th 10:00 AM at Riverside Cemetery. The Christmas Ball raffle is waiting on the license; the gifts are all wrapped. The wreaths are for sale for $12.
Mike Cutaiar gave the Bar Report. Savings $7512.38 and checking $8239.92
Unfinished Business: Kurt Lepinski read proposed By-Laws changes. Changes to be posted at Post 146 and voted on at the December Membership meeting,
New Business/Correspondence: Commander Gladue read a letter from Menominee High School asking for donations for their annual Turkey Project Fundraiser. Mike Cutaiar moved “to donate $200 to Menominee High School for their annual Turkey Project Fundraiser to provide Thanksgiving meals to the less fortunate.” The motion was seconded. Discussion ensued. Gary Scholtz moved “to increase the amount to $300.” The motion was adopted as amended.
Commander Gladue: The Marinette/Menominee Emergency Squad is asking for donations. Mike Cutaiar moved “to donate $100 to the emergency squad.” The motion was adopted.
Kurt Lepinski announced the DAV will be cooking brats at Jack’s tomorrow from 07:00 to noon.
