Membership Meeting
December 8, 2025

Commander Gary Gladue conducted opening ceremonies and declared the Post 146 monthly meeting regularly convened at 17:33.

Roll call was taken, quorum was met.

The Charter was draped in memory of Richard J. Bardowski.

Commander Gladue read the Executive Committee minutes: Joel Oden has resigned as Finance Officer. Discussion of profit from SAL and guest sales taxable at Federal level. A “No Carry-Ins” sign was approved. Bar hours Change in January to Noon to 6pm.

The November Minutes were approved as printed.

Commander Gladue presented the Finance Report. Mike Cutaiar moved “to accept the Finance Report subject to audit.” The motion was adopted.

Kurt Lepinski gave the Membership report. 284 paid of a goal of 394 - 72.08%

Mike Cutaiar gave the Club Committee Report: Checking $6504.53, savings $7515.18

Gary Scholtz gave the House Committee report. Discussion of snow removal. Snow removal occurs after the snow stops falling per the contract. The Post handles salt application.

Legion Riders: no report

Athletics: no report

Steve Van Eyck gave the SAL report. 193 paid members. Just finished Shop-with-a-cop, served over 60 families. Dec 6 kids Christmas party, participated in the holiday parade and handed out hot chocolate. Will be at Riverside Cemetery for Wreaths across America, Army-Navy game – doors open at 1pm beer, pizza, and cake provided,

Julie Erickson gave the Auxiliary report: participated in the holiday parade, carrying the Auxiliary flag, helped hand out hot chocolate, Christmas ball raffle is ongoing, Kids’ Christmas Party. Will be at Riverside Cemetery Saturday for Wreaths Across America.

Commander Gladue read a report on pull-tabs from John Nutter. There was also a $3200.00 check from the pull-tab account to the Post.

Correspondence: Kurt Lepinski read a Thank You letter from MHS Menominee Student Leadership – Turkey Project Committee. Kurt read a letter from Crime Stoppers. Tom Englund moved “to donate $200 to Crime Stoppers.” The motion was adopted.

Tom Englund gave the Activities report: Band on Dec 20th for the Veterans Christmas Party. New Year’s Day breakfast. Planning on Soup Wednesday in January. The Culinary class wants to hold a benefit Italian Night. Want to start a smear tournament on Saturday.

Unfinished Business: The proposed changes to the By-Laws read at the November Meeting were discussed. No vote because they had not been posted.
